Description
This high-quality double jointed Pelham bit, with loose shanks and leverage, is made of solid Cupharnessan with stainless steel rings. Cupharnessan is an alloy consisting of 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material gives a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse's mouth, creating a soft and even pressure distribution. Due to the combination of the design and the unique composition of Cupharnessan, the chewing process and the saliva formatteion are stimulated, so that a fine connection can be created with the sensitive horse's mouth. The upward scissors with ring are slightly outwards, which ensures optimal freedom for the horse's head. The bit has a sharp effect on the mouth. The mouthpiece has a thickness of 16 mm and the scissors have a length of 145 mm. Including curb chain.
A Pelham bit can be used with Pelham straps and single rein as well as with double reins. The bit is suitable for strong and eager horses, among other things. The leverage makes it easier to adjust the horse deeply; the longer the scissors, the sharper the effect.
With a double-broken bit, the mouthpiece consists of three parts. The middle part of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue. This puts more pressure on the tongue than with a single broken mouthpiece. The thicker the middle part, the more pressure on the tongue.
